this might be a really silly question, but between 3 modest fans of the band, we couldnt figure out this one line to Walls...
"five white horses on an ocean of sound"
and
"man on the magic tricycle would like to take you for a ride"
Obvious or not, I think the song is about High Sierra, ALO's first time there and the SB PHreaks and what not, but whats the deal with the horses...a hullucination?
any input is appreciated.

Re: help me out here
Sat, May 31, 2008 - 11:12 AMI think Dave is referring to the "white horses of the armies of heaven " from the Battle of Jericho in the Bible.
www.jesuswalk.com/joshua/lesson4-ex.htm
"... a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.... He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen.... He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: 'King of kings, and Lord of lords'" (Revelation 19:11-16).
The walls of Jericho were supposedly brought down by the unified shouts or "ocean of sound" of the 600,000 Israelite army that had surrounded Jericho.
"The final day they got up at daybreak and marched not once but seven times around the city, and at the final trumpet blast held long, the people shouted, and "when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed" (6:20).
l
When you apply these allegorical references to the context of High Sierra, the parades, the crowd surrounding the stage and cheering for encores and then the show ending, the ummm, "enlightened mindset" brought on by parties of biblical proportions for 4 days straight, it fits quite well.
The "man on the magic tricycle would like to take you for a ride" refers to Jamie Janover and his three wheeled percussion vehicle "The Realmsmobile"
